A year of adaptation and growth

2023 proved to be a bustling period for all sectors we cater to, leading to an increased demand for turned parts. Our team rose to the challenge, ensuring timely and quality deliveries despite the fluctuating business landscape. We are grateful to have witnessed an upturn in business, a testament to the resilience and dedication of our team and the robustness of our processes and AS9100 accreditation.

Overcoming material supply challenges

The past year brought its share of challenges, especially in raw material supply. However, with strategic planning and the support of our excellent suppliers, we’ve managed to navigate these hurdles effectively. While issues like the availability of certain Aerospace grades persist, our proactive approach and strong supplier relationships have allowed us to overcome most obstacles, ensuring a steady supply of turned components for our precision machining operations.

Investing in sustainable technologies

In our pursuit of environmental stewardship and operational excellence, we have transitioned from using solvents to an aqueous system for for cleaning turned parts. The acquisition of the Mecwash MWX300 aqueous washing plant, equipped with ultrasonic submersible flood wash, flexible spray washing, and advanced drying technologies, marks a significant step towards sustainability. This upgrade not only benefits the environment but also enhances the working conditions for our workforce, ensuring that our pledge to quality and eco-friendliness extends to every aspect of our turned parts production.

Enhancing CNC machining safety and efficiency

Acknowledging the importance of safety, especially during lights-out operations, we’ve upgraded our fire suppression systems to the latest Firetrace Systems. This upgrade underscores our dedication to safety and uninterrupted productivity. Additionally, early 2024 will see us augmenting our Star sliding head machines with new high-pressure coolant units, completing our setup for high-pressure machining and bolstering our efficiency.

Nurturing talent and building our future

Our team remains the cornerstone of our success. The integration of two new apprentices into our workflow underscores our commitment to nurturing talent and future-proofing our staffing levels. Their growing expertise in manufacturing quality turned parts is integral to our continued excellence in CNC turning and precision milling.

Looking ahead with confidence

As we step into 2024, we do so with a sense of anticipation and confidence. Our focus remains steadfast on delivering the highest quality in brass turned parts, as well as in aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic components, ensuring a diverse range of precision turned parts. With the economy showing signs of improvement, we are optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead.
