Our facility has an extensive range of Star Micronics sliding head lathes, as well as Doosan and Miyano fixed head lathes, all bar fed with high pressure coolant and driven tooling technology. The latest CNC lathes are all fitted with sub-spindles, allowing for faster production times and at a lower cost.

All of our machines are maintained with Original Equipments Manufacturers (OEMs) parts. The latest, high performance lubricant program is a catalyst to our remarkable machine reliability and safety. When operating at maximum capacity, it produces quick turnaround times, benefiting both APT and our customers across many engineering sectors. Another way in which this can benefit our customers is the ability for our output to be remotely monitored, ensuring our clients receive parts that are of an excellent finish and quality. In terms of our turned parts production capacity, here at APT, we operate on a 24/7 lights-out automation machining basis for all of our precision turned parts. All fixed and sliding head lathes are continually being monitored remotely, ensuring they’re working 24 hours a day so that we can meet our clients’ orders quickly and effectively. Constantly upgrading and investing in new technology can aid us in our quest for optimum customer satisfaction. Advantages that come with our new, modern machinery include bar fed fixed head lathes, equipped with sub spindles and live tooling. Combined, this drastically cuts down on production times, therefore increasing productivity and our turnaround rates. We also hold a variety of smaller machines, specifically for cleaning, polishing and quality control.

Turning components as small as 0.5mm, all the way up 65mm in diameter from bar and up to 300mm for billet work, our machines can run at up to 15,000 RPM spindle, improving the quality of the surface finish and lengthening tool life. We can supply post-processed machined parts and fully finished components, as well as a complete design and engineering service where we offer heat and surface treatments, assembly, packing and delivery.
